2015-21 Subaru Aluminum Engine Under Tray Skid Plate
This aluminum skid plate/splash guard is a direct fit for your Subaru STI. It replaces the OEM plastic splash guard panel which offers little protection and generally has many problems. It offers built-in trap doors for both oil drain plug and oil filter. Unlike many splash shields and skid plates on the market, this also offers ventilation as well as complete side brackets for additional support. It comes with new hardware - especially important as this goes ALL THE WAY to your front bumper and doesn't stop at the radiator support - it will replace the stock push clips with speed nuts and bolts. This will give your STI support on the front bumper while maintaining optimal air channeling under the vehicle with this aluminum splash shield. Test off road in mud and various applications - this skid plate will keep your engine bay clean and protect your vital components.

Installation Hardware is Included with each aluminum splash shield - It will replace the plastic clips on the bumper with a more permanent solution using bolts and speed nuts
- MADE OF .063 ALUMINUM - only slightly heavier than stock (by ~ 1 lb) but hard aluminum resistant to denting and splitting
- LASER CUT - Precise cuts to fit stock mounting points * CLEARANCE - Clearance as good as OEM or better, but stronger which improves airflow
- RIGIDITY - Offers better protection while strengthening bumper support for better stability at high speeds
- 3 PIECE DESIGN - Won't bend the whole thing if you hit a curb, and can replace only the front piece. Easier to work on your engine.
- OIL DOOR - The OEM shroud offers little access to the filter. This built in oil door is accessible by removing 2 simple bolts.

Sorry got first review in wrong categories PROS - Lightweight and easy to install = can use plastic plugs instead of screws and fits stock holes - access doors for oil change and filter Negatives/CONS - DOES NOT WORK WITH FMIC FOR SIDE SKIRTS- NEED TO TRIM THEM = PIPING IN WAY - If running oil cooler very sharp edges to contend with - not a big deal just need to route hoses accordingly. Oil drain galley does not work or fit right for Killer B oil pan and fumoto valve. Will need to use a drain tube - hole is over the oil temperature spot . - wish it covered entire side to side bottom of car. - Install instructions vague for side skirt install and very poor instructions - look at pictures of skid plates on website and go from there with instructions Nice cover but if modded in any way would not recommend until a revision comes making oil drain bigger to be universal for different il pans and just cover side to side eliminating side skirts ....
I had a rock take out my stock plastic under tray. TBW was able to get me one in a few days that looks awesome but also gives the ease and access for oil changes. fully recommend.
Install: Not bad, only took an hour to install with an oil change. Looks: Very nice out of the box. Weird quirks: I don't believe this works well with fumoto drain valve F-105. The valve, when screwed in, points in the opposite direction of the opening. I haven't done an oil change with the fumoto and skid plate yet, but I anticipate it to be a problem if oil has any kind of arc to it. So...if you want to add a fumoto valve, use F-105S or 105N which have a nipple that you can attach a hose to. The skidplate does not cover the same area as stock plastic skidplate, there are openings infront of the side flaps that might let (probably will b/c they're forward facing) dirt and trash in. We'll see. I have 2 concerns. The edges of the skidplate are very sharp, and you have to pass grounding wires through the side skirts. I am going to be keeping an eye on those ground wires b/c they are rubbing against the sharp edge of the skidplate. On the drivers side front, there are also 3 wires going down from main wiring cluster, which are in close proximity to the edge of the skidplate. I'm planning to put rubber grommets into the skirt holes, and possibly smooth out the edges.
Easy install, wish there was a how to video on the website but figured it out eventually. Nice product and high quality.
Smashed my oem under tray within 500 miles of buying the car. This one is cheaper than the oem plastic garbage. Easy install. Took less than an hour.
Shipped fast and was super easy to install. Looks really good once installed. Everything tightens down solid so there's no risk of rattle. Recommend for any STI owner. will also make oil changes much quicker.
Love this product, would’ve gave 5 stars if they could only update the instructions! I was able to figure it out on my own but I also had to remove 2 previous bolts from my OEM STI front lip, just for future reference for anyone that has this piece it will fit. Love the functionality of this part and will make my future oil changes way easier!
